Handbridge Flower Club
The Handbridge Flower Club meets on the third Thursday of the month, starting at 1.45pm at St Mary’s Handbridge Centre, except August and December. Annual subscription is £65, which equates to £6.50 per meeting (where do you get a relaxing and creative afternoon for less than the price of coffee and cake?) Visitors will receive a warm welcome and the charge is just £10 per session. NB: If you decide to become a member the visitor fee is taken off the subscription fee.
It is a friendly club that was established over 30 years ago with some of the founder members still in attendance today. As well as demonstrations from award winning florists and floral designers there is a raffle offering the opportunity to win one of these designs. We also have a book table and cards as well as special sales tables throughout the year.

Our President is Dawn Weaver, who is a National demonstrator and Judge. She is no stranger to accolades and awards including the Chelsea Flower Show. Our current Chair is Jan Edwards who is supported by an enthusiastic committee who extend a warm welcome to existing and new members. We would welcome any ideas for stalls, competitions or fund raising activities. If anyone has any ideas for one-off stalls to complement our existing books and cards please let the committee know. Sorry but we are unable to accept trading companies.
St Mary’s Church Flower Team
Several of the Club members are also part of the Flower Team at St Mary’s Church and get involved with decorating the church on a weekly basis as well as helping to celebrate other times during the Church calendar, such as Christmas, Harvest and Easter.
