The Cheshire Area of NAFAS

Cheshire Show 2013

Back

The Team worked hard to ready the marquee and the competitors produced some fabulous inventive designs to interpret the titles.

The four exhibits staged by Tutors and their students were depicting various anniversaries (200 years since Pride & Prejudice was published, 60 years since DNA, 150 years of the London Underground and 175 years of the Cheshire Show) and the groups came up with brilliantly diverse ideas to entertain the public.

The icing on the cake was a visit from The Princess Royal on the second morning of the show. She was conducted round by our Area President, Mrs Pam Ingham and The Chief Steward of the NAFAS Flower Marquee, Mrs Pam Fleming-Williams. In the searing heat the Princess managed to stay as cool as a cucumber while asking intelligent questions and making informed comments on the exhibits. All in all a superb show.
